About Maria
Hi! I’m a friendly, motivated and approachable A-level student with a strong passion for Maths. I enjoy helping younger students understand topics that may initially seem difficult or confusing. As someone who is still studying, I can relate to the challenges students face and explain concepts in a simple, clear and easy-to-understand way. I’m patient, encouraging and always happy to explain something in different ways until it makes sense. My goal is not only to help students improve their Maths skills, but also to build their confidence and make them feel proud of their progress. I want every lesson to be positive, engaging and tailored to the individual student. I’m particularly passionate about supporting Year 6 pupils with their KS2 Maths and SATs preparation, helping them feel fully prepared and confident when they sit their exams.

My goal is to make Maths feel simple, enjoyable and achievable for every student. As an A-level student, I understand how important it is to build strong foundations early, and I know that Maths can sometimes feel confusing or overwhelming. My lessons are designed to build confidence as well as improve ability. I will identify areas where your child needs support and create lessons around their individual needs, whether that means strengthening basic skills, tackling challenging topics, practising problem-solving or preparing for SATs.
I believe that every student can improve with the right guidance, patience and encouragement. Rather than simply giving answers, I focus on helping students understand why something works, so they can approach new questions independently and confidently. We will use clear explanations, examples and SATs-style questions to develop both accuracy and exam technique.
My aim is for your child to leave every lesson feeling more confident.
