About Kira
I’m a PhD researcher currently, psychology graduate with a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Clinical Psychology, with experience supporting students at GCSE, A-Level and university level.
I’m passionate about making psychology feel clear, manageable and interesting rather than overwhelming. I know that students often struggle not because they are incapable, but because the way a topic has been explained simply hasn’t clicked for them yet. My approach is patient, supportive and tailored to the individual, with a strong focus on building confidence as well as improving knowledge and exam technique.
Alongside tutoring, I have professional experience supporting children and young people, including those with additional needs and complex circumstances. This has helped me develop a calm, adaptable and encouraging communication style.
I particularly enjoy supporting students with psychological theories, research methods, essay structure, critical evaluation and exam preparation. My aim is to create a relaxed space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing a genuine understanding of the subject.

I take a supportive, individualised approach to tutoring and adapt each session to the student’s current level, goals and preferred way of learning. I focus on helping students genuinely understand psychological concepts rather than simply memorising information, and I use clear explanations, real-world examples, active recall, exam-style questions and structured feedback to build both knowledge and confidence.
For exam students, I also focus heavily on application, evaluation and exam technique, including how to structure stronger answers and understand what mark schemes are looking for. For undergraduate students, I can support areas such as research methods, critical thinking, essay planning, interpreting feedback and developing academic skills, while maintaining clear academic-integrity boundaries.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although shorter 30-minute focused sessions can also be available for specific topics or revision support.
I hold a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Clinical Psychology. I have experience supporting university students with their learning as well as tutoring GCSE and A-Level students. My wider professional experience supporting children and young people has also strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, adapt explanations and work sensitively with different learning needs.
I offer psychology tuition for GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate students, including support with psychology content, exam preparation, research methods and general academic skills. Sessions are delivered online and tailored to the individual student rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
