About Mpho
I am a PhD student in Learning Support, Guidance, and Counselling.
I have experience in lecturing second-year students at a university and presenting a research module to students at Honors level. I am passionate about research, and I find it very exciting!
I have also tutored Philosophy at Honors level.

My teaching philosophy is to provide a safe and nurturing environment to learners and to make sure that they know that they can talk to when they need support . I strive to create a classroom environment where learners feel heard and confident to express who they are without the fear of being ridiculed or judged. I always aim to teach my learners and equip them with the necessary tools to deal with life in and outside of the school environment. Teaching for me is not just about education, content, curriculum, and knowledge, but it's about shaping minds and creating adults who will go out into the world with love, understanding, compassion and a belief in themselves that they can achieve anything.

Details
My rates will vary if I have to travel to the student. If I travel to a student my rate is R250 per hour, and a student has to pay me 50% of what I charge should they decide to cancel a class.
