About Andrew
Math, at its core, is about patterns and relationships between quite literally anything. People, it turns out, are basically wired for this exact task. The intimidation people often feel towards math isn't really about the math itself. It is often the rigidity of the system we use to test someone's understanding of the math. However, once a more thoughtful picture of the subject is painted, you learn not just how to solve the problem itself - but how to know you solved it correctly.

My lessons start with developing a solid understanding of the concepts being covered. This can include animations, illustrations, or sometimes simply an analogy.
The lessons will then begin to formalize our understanding by connecting our intuition with the rules and symbols used to express those ideas in math.
Finally, we can actually begin to tackle actual practice problems related to the subject being covered.
