As an English and musical instrument tutor I want to reassure that starting learning any lessons you need at any age is not matter. Details
I start playing santoor and learning basic lessons of music when I was 10 and after 10 years. When I was 20 I was granted an opportunity to be Ardavan Kamkar (the most famous santoor instructor in the world) and be his student for 5 years.
