About Olivia
Hi there! I am a first class Warwick Politics, Philosophy and Economics graduate (where I majored in Economics). I have successfully tutored previous students to top grades in a level economics and worked to improve GCSE students' pass rates in maths. My approach is about long-term understanding so students do not have to rely on memorisation. Not only does this make exams easier, it also helps to build students' independent and critical thinking skills!
I like my lessons to be engaging and tailored to the needs of the individual students so that they are of the highest quality. I also offer plenty of exam technique focus as it is something I found useful during GCSE, A level and university exams

I have been tutoring students for 5 years. A typical lesson is 45-50 minutes of learning + 10 minutes recap. I follow the 'spaced repetition' method to learning. This maximises understanding in students' long-term memories which puts them in the best position for exams.
If I introduce a topic to a student in week 1, I will not test their knowledge of it again until week 2. I would then test knowledge in week 5 (leaving a bigger space). I interleave memory techniques with learning new topics.
My economics lessons are for A level and I also cover Primary- GCSE Maths.
