About Akansha
I have a degree in Medical engineering and am continuing my studies by pursuing a Biomedical Engineering postgrad masters. In grade 12 I took maths, physics, chemistry and biology. My modules in university were also based on these 4 subjects and so I have a particularly good understanding of them. I have given lessons in math before raising their maths grade from C to A.

I approach each topic by focusing on the main learning objectives. My top priority is to ensure that the key concepts are clear and well understood by the student. The next step is the show the student how to apply the key concepts and ideas in order to solve problems and answer questions. After this I like to give the student questions and problems to solve on their own and guide them when they are stuck. At times test and exam questions are worded in particularly challenging ways in order to determine which student has understood the learning objectives and is able to apply them. The approach I use to teach is to ensure that the student is not only able to answer questions that they have practiced but also the curveballs that the examiner throws.
