About Pranav
I’m a curious mind who found joy in solving problems early on—whether it was cracking SAT puzzles, exploring economic theories, or diving deep into Olympiad maths. Now at LSE studying Accounting & Finance, I bring that same energy into teaching. I’ve worked with students across levels and love turning abstract concepts into something intuitive and even fun. Outside the classroom, I’m equally at home debating, exploring books, or chasing ideas that connect numbers to the real world. I teach because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand challenging concepts and develop confidence in subjects that often feel intimidating. My goal is to demystify complex ideas, build a solid foundation of understanding, and encourage curiosity that goes beyond the syllabus. Whether it’s unpacking the intuition behind economic models or solving tricky maths problems, I want my students to see the beauty and relevance of what they’re learning. Having recently gone through competitive university applications and rigorous assessments myself, I know how overwhelming it can be—and how valuable a good mentor is. I want to be that guide for my students: someone who supports them academically, builds their self-belief, and makes learning feel rewarding and empowering.

Hi! I’m Pranav, a first-year Accounting and Finance student at the London School of Economics (LSE). I have several years of experience tutoring Economics, Mathematics, Finance, and test preparation for the SAT and Oxford’s Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA). I’ve taught students both privately and in school settings, including preparing them for competitive exams like Maths Olympiads. Having recently gone through the university admissions process myself, I’m also happy to support students applying to top institutions—whether through subject tutoring, admissions test prep, or strategic advice. Teaching Style My approach is to build a strong foundation by focusing on core concepts and ensuring students truly understand the "why" behind each topic. I aim to develop deep intuition and encourage curiosity by showing real-world applications beyond the syllabus. I welcome any and all questions, even those outside the immediate curriculum, because a love of learning should never be limited by boundaries. I strive to create a relaxed yet focused learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes—essential steps in the learning process. I also work closely with students and families to build tailored strategies that support continuous progress. Proudest Achievements One of my proudest moments was helping a student struggling with mathematical confidence not only improve their understanding but go on to achieve top scores in their final exams. Personally, I’m proud of securing a place at LSE, which I worked toward over several years while overcoming various challenges. Experience I have experience tutoring both one-on-one and in classroom settings, adapting to the needs of students working at different levels. I’ve taught students for the SAT, supported younger learners in school maths, and guided advanced students through Olympiad-style problem solving. This diversity of experience has helped me adapt my teaching to suit different learning styles and goals.
