About Sophie
My name is Sophie, and I am currently studying Classics at Princeton University. I completed Cambridge International and NCEA subjects in high school, so I understand different exam systems and the challenges students face. I enjoy teaching because I believe learning should feel both achievable and rewarding, not overwhelming. I’m passionate about English, Latin, Classical Studies, and I love helping students build confidence in these subjects. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel supported, inspired, and proud of their progress.

My lessons are designed to build both understanding and confidence. I take a patient, supportive approach and adapt my methods to each student’s needs, whether that means breaking down grammar step by step or practicing through conversation and examples. A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes and includes review, guided practice, and space for questions.
I completed Cambridge International and also studied NCEA subjects, so I understand different exam systems and can adapt to what each student needs. I’m now studying Classics at Princeton University.
