About Caylena

I'm passionate about foreign languages. I started learning French in middle school, and attained fluency after receiving my BA in French, studying abroad in Paris and teaching English in France. I specifically studied French Phonetics, so I can help you understand the sounds, which letters mean what, and how to pronounce them. I started learning Spanish in college and achieved fluency through practice with native speakers and travel in Latin America. I'm a native English (American) speaker and have taught English to foreigners in a classroom and one on one setting. I've also tutored French, Spanish and Photography one on one.

About the lesson

Are you a beginner who is excited about learning French? Are you getting ready to travel to France? Do you struggle with pronunciation in French? Do you feel embarrassed when you try to speak? Not to worry!!

You're in the right place. Sessions are personalized to meet your specific goals and help get you where you want to go.

Because I learned French as a foreign language, I can help beginners build a foundation for the language and the process of learning a language. I'll help you let go of the fear and embarrassment that frequently accompanies speaking a new language.

I've been there, and together, we'll get you ready to speak with natives.

Caylena was an extremely helpful resource for me. I reached out seeking to gain French reading knowledge with absolutely no prior experience in French and she tailored a curriculum that fit my needs exactly. She took the time outside of our sessions so that she was always prepared with new topics for me to learn and she quickly developed a ton of material for me to work from. Not only that, she thought of fun and creative activities to help me learn and she was always great about answering questions I had during our sessions. I highly recommend her for any and all French tutoring needs!
