About Chloe
I’ve been working in education for a few years. I’m also a current student at university studying English Language and German. I work as a Study Coach at a local college. I primarily support students in GCSE lessons or assignment writing. I also do a lot of studying myself and assignment writing four times a year for university. I have worked with students aged 6-18 (primary, secondary and college) and even worked with adult students over 18 who are retaking a GCSE years after being in education the first time. I really enjoy crocheting, reading, and playing video games (PS, Xbox, Nintendo) in my free time. I also run a small business where I sell crochet items and polymer clay jewellery. I like to be busy and enjoy learning new things, which is a big reason why I like teaching people; you learn new things from others and in the course of teaching all the time.

When tutoring students, I aim to teach the topics of a subject in small blocks - I break them down and set small tasks to aid their understanding and help them practise the topic. I try to build knowledge of a topic from learning to expertise at the right pace for the student. I always encourage mistakes and use these to help students learn from them. I will assess what topics are weakest in the free introductory lesson and cover topics such as language techniques, structural techniques, reading and scanning texts for these techniques, and creative and informative writing. I aim for students to understand a topic and feel confident in learning. I can help with primary school level topics and GCSE topics or equivalent.

Chloe is reliable and friendly to everyone she works with. Chloe communicates well with others and always will make sure to accommodate requests on content to teach and scheduling requests. Really great working with her!
Chloe works really hard to make sure the students she works with are getting the support they need. She has worked with student of different levels and students with learning difficulties. She adapts her lessons to fit her students and really takes the time to ensure they understand and feel comfortable with topics they are learning.
Chloe is welcoming, patient and super helpful. I know her from working in my local college as a study support coach, helping to run regular evening classes for adults specifically for GCSE Maths, helping people who may have struggled with Maths in school that now want to re-skill and gain the fundamental knowledge that GCSE math provides.
