I have developed a teaching method from my years of study and personal experience in which I seek to recognise, explore and develop the musical and creative talent of each individual by guiding them to understand and acquire skills in as natural, free and expressive way as possible. I believe in using my knowledge of the natural movements and use of the human body to gain technical skills which work with and not against each student's capabilities and which help them to release energy and movement, rather than build tension through a lack of understanding as to how to practise. I believe in giving clear guidance and encouragement and also to make lessons enjoyable so that motivation is maintained during both lesson and practice times. I believe that to make music is a gift and one which I wish to share and encourage in the people with whom I work.

  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

My passion for music began in childhood. I was fascinated by how music could express emotions and tell stories without words. As I explored different styles and instruments, I discovered my favourite instrument, the cello. I love its sound!
  • Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I can listen to classical music for hours, especially works by Chopin and Debussy. Their music is full of colour, emotion, and subtle details that reveal something new each time I hear them. I also enjoy film soundtracks because they combine storytelling and musical creativity.
  • Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

One of the most fascinating courses I could offer would be on musical interpretation. Learning the notes is only the beginning; understanding how to shape phrases, communicate emotions, and develop a personal artistic voice is what truly brings music to life. Helping students discover their own interpretation is both challenging and rewarding.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

Every instrument has its challenges, but I believe the violin is among the most difficult to master. Producing a beautiful tone requires exceptional control, and even small adjustments in posture, bowing, or intonation can make a significant difference. It demands technical precision, patience, and musical sensitivity.
  • What are your keys to success?

My keys to success are consistency, curiosity, and patience. Progress in music comes from regular practice, a willingness to keep learning, and the determination to overcome challenges. I also believe that enjoying the learning process is essential for long-term success.
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

    - Frédéric Chopin – to understand the inspiration behind his deeply expressive works.
    - Ludwig van Beethoven – to hear his thoughts on creativity and perseverance in the face of adversity.
    - Hans Zimmer – to learn how he combines traditional orchestration with modern cinematic storytelling.

I imagine that conversation would be unforgettable and full of musical insight.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

One of the most valuable lessons I learned came before an important performance. I was focused on avoiding mistakes and became increasingly nervous. My teacher reminded me that audiences connect with emotion, not perfection. Once I shifted my attention from fear to communication, my performance improved dramatically. That lesson continues to shape both my playing and my teaching.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

I adapt every lesson to the student's goals, learning style, and pace. I combine technical development with creativity and enjoyment, ensuring students understand not only how to play but also why music works. I provide constructive feedback, celebrate progress, and create a supportive environment where students feel confident to grow as musicians.
