About Amyng
I hold a Master's degree in Music Performance (Clarinet), an advanced Diploma in Piano Performance, and bring nearly 30 years of experience as an exam accompanist. Prior to relocating to the UK, I served as an instrumental instructor for the Hong Kong Music Office (Government Department) and taught at several top-tier prestigious schools, including La Salle College. Many of my former clarinet students have successfully entered the HKAPA Junior Music Programme, and some have even advanced to become professional instructors for the Music Office themselves. Recently I teach as woodwind coach in UK local youth orchestra.
Over the decades, I have accompanied countless students through formal music examinations (ABRSM and Trinity), recitals, and competitions.
My teaching approach goes beyond basic technique. Combining my advanced performance training with decades of collaborative playing, I focus on developing genuine musical expression, sight-reading confidence, rhythmic integrity, and stage presence. Whether guiding a young home-schooled student through their first music exam or helping an adult beginner, I tailor every lesson to individual goals.
I hold an Enhanced DBS check, ensuring a safe and professional learning environment at my Epsom studio (KT17).

I offer dedicated weekday morning sessions (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, excluding Wednesdays). This premium slot is tailored specifically for Home-Schooling Families integrating conservatoire-level music into their daytime curriculum, as well as adult learners and flexible WFH professionals.
【Performance & Exam Accompaniment】
With nearly 30 years of experience as a collaborative pianist, I seamlessly provide high-standard piano accompaniment during clarinet lessons. I also offer full music exam accompaniment support, focusing on performance expression, technical precision, and building overall stage confidence for students of all levels.
