About Peter
I have worked in IT, both in development and support for many years. I coded professionally in C, debugged Python and JavaScript, worked with scripting languages, and used SQL. During this time I have trained and mentored colleagues and also tutored relatives and friends in maths and science. I also code in my spare time, writing code to process images and also to calculate the position of stars. While studying at Imperial College, I helped students in classwork exercises. I was also a voluntary classroom assistant in a secondary school, while a 3rd year undergraduate.
I have an enhanced DBS certificate.

New to computers and coding or wanting to improve your skills? I am here to work with you and help you with lessons tailored to your requirements. I have worked for software companies for over 25 years and can help you with basic theory, coding and also with your GCSE computing topics.
We will start by discussing your goals and then set up a timetable of lessons for you. Languages we can look at include python, javascript and we can also review SQL.
Whether you are new to coding or need to revise for your GCSEs, I am here to help. My lessons will be online for up to 90 mins, to practice coding we may initially use online resources.

My daughter had been falling behind at school and was lacking motivation. Peter helped her to understand aspects of computing and motivated her to study more. He had an engaging and patient manner and took the time to understand her interests and worked with her to create a program to help her develop her computing skills.
Peter helped my daughter with extra math lessons. She was struggling in class , but Peter made it very clear and easy to follow and help her understand so much easier. Highly recommended if your son/daughter needs extra help after school.
