About Michelle
I am a business professional with over 20 years experience in banking and Export and Logistics. I have tutored Spanish on a ad hoc basis for many years to students from KS3 right up to University level. Have also taught Spanish as a new language to adults who were moving abroad to Spain and also to business executives wanting to improve their knowledge in Spanish both written and spoken. I have lived in Madrid and Barcelona and have always utilised both Spanish and
Brazilian Portuguese in all my previous on roles. Am now currently training to become a full time teacher and am volunteering in local schools and giving extra curricular lessons in Spanish.

My teaching methods are very much catered to each individuals needs whether it’s preparung for exams or learning the language from scratch. Each lesson is one hour and is broken down into 10-15 minute chunks. I start with what will be covered in the lesson whether it’s a specific topic or verb conjugation and then set targets towards the end of the lesson. I then cover some vocabulary, do some role playing utilising that vocabulary from the topic just learnt as feel speaking the language and perfecting and practicing the language and grasping the accent is important as well as the written side and the grammar. I then finish with some listening and summarise the lesson and go over what will be covered in the next lesson and encourage students to look through certain verb tenses and more vocabulary to build up knowledge and confidence. But in general lessons are fun engaging and packed with information. Students feel as a whole empowered, more confident and clearer in their Spanish journey when they leave my lessons.
