About Rachael
I'm a writer by trade, having worked as a journalist and copy editor for the past decade.
I personalise every session to suit the individual student, creating a relaxed and supportive environment where you can feel comfortable talking through anything you're struggling with. Whether you need help building confidence, improving your writing, understanding a particular topic or preparing for an exam, we'll find an approach that works for you.
Everyone learns differently, and I don't believe in trying to fit students into a box. I'll work with your existing strengths and find ways to build on them, while helping you develop the areas where you need a little more support.
I have previously tutored students aged 12–18 across a range of qualifications, and I also offer support with university application and personal statement essays.

First we'll chat through the areas you or your child might be struggling with.
Sometimes it can be hard for an individual to pinpoint and that's where my experience of talking to people helps. I'll be able to chat it all through and find the areas we need to work on.
I first started tutoring in 2012 when I was at university.
Some of my clients came back year after year, not because they had to, but because having a supportive tutor made them feel even more confident and we could build on their success.
I have experience tutoring in politics, history and English.
I can also help with university applications.
I offer tutoring at all levels.
