About Lindsey

Hi! I'm Lindsey, a Registered Nurse, nursing professor, and NCLEX/HESI coach with over 16 years of clinical nursing experience and more than 8 years of experience teaching and mentoring nursing students.

Throughout my career, I have worked with hundreds of nursing students at every stage of their journey—from prerequisite courses to graduation and NCLEX preparation. Medication math and dosage calculations are areas where many students struggle, not because they can't do the math, but because they haven't been taught a clear, consistent process. Helping students overcome that barrier is one of my favorite parts of teaching.

As both a nurse and educator, I understand the challenges nursing students face. I know how stressful dosage calculation exams can be, and I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

My goal is not only to help you pass your next exam, but also to help you develop the confidence and critical-thinking skills needed to safely calculate medications in clinical practice. Whether you're preparing for a dosage calculation test, HESI, ATI, or simply need extra support with medication math, I look forward to helping you succeed.

About the lesson

My Approach:
I keep dosage calculations simple and easy to understand.
I teach a step-by-step method that can be applied to almost any medication math problem.

My focus is helping students understand the process, not just memorize formulas.
I create a supportive environment where students can ask questions and build confidence without feeling embarrassed.

What a Typical Session Looks Like:
Review the concepts or problem types you're struggling with
Work through examples together step-by-step
Practice problems with guidance and feedback
Discuss common mistakes and how to avoid them
Review test-taking strategies for nursing exams

What Sets Me Apart:
Registered Nurse with 16+ years of clinical experience
Nursing professor with experience teaching and coaching nursing students
Extensive experience helping students prepare for dosage calculation exams, HESI, ATI, and NCLEX-style questions
I tailor each session to the student's needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach
My goal is not only to help you pass your next exam, but to help you feel confident solving problems on your own

Who I Work With:
Pre-nursing students
LPN/LVN students
ADN students
BSN students
Accelerated nursing students
Students preparing for dosage calculation exams
Students preparing for HESI, ATI, or NCLEX

Whether you're struggling with basic conversions, dimensional analysis, IV calculations, dosage by weight, or simply need more practice, I can help you develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
