About Alexis

The joy of teaching comes from sharing ideas and allowing others to be inspired and inspire others. I ask my students to take initiative in their learning by showing up as their most authentic selves. Together we will explore various realms of thought related to literature, writing, and literary theory.

About the lesson

- I believe in letting the student inform how lessons get done. Each student has an individual learning style, and I work to accommodate that so they have the best chance of success.

- Trauma-informed teaching

- Students should feel respected and appreciated in their lessons. I value the opinions and educational desires of my students.

- Work focuses on literacy and comprehension instead of time requirements.
