About Jack
I fell in love with teaching almost by accident, after taking a job as a tutor in a school. Seeing students grow in confidence and ability made me realise this was what I wanted to do, which led me to train as a fully qualified teacher (PGCE, QTS) specialising in maths.
I have always loved maths, science and engineering, and I bring that enthusiasm into every lesson. Alongside teaching, I’ve worked in the carbon capture sector, giving me real-world industry experience that helps students see how maths applies beyond the classroom. I genuinely believe teaching is the best job in the world — building strong relationships, watching students progress, and helping them realise their potential is incredibly rewarding.
Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, running, tennis, cooking, fitness and anything car-related.

I’m a fully qualified Maths teacher (PGCE, QTS) offering supportive and engaging online lessons for KS3, GCSE and A-Level. My focus is on building confidence as well as improving grades. I break topics down clearly, use a range of teaching techniques to suit each student, and guide learners towards becoming independent and resilient problem-solvers.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes. I aim to make sessions enjoyable, with a good sense of humour and a calm, encouraging approach that helps students grow in both ability and character.

Jack is definitely a tutor you don’t want to scroll past! He is amazing value for money since there really aren’t many tutors on Superprof who are fully qualified teachers and still working in a school right now. That makes such a difference. He knew my son’s syllabus, exam board and even the Sparx homework he was getting. It was really reassuring knowing he was being taught by someone who deals with all of this every day. My son was really struggling with maths in class. I’m really glad I found Jack. He worked with my son’s teacher to figure out which areas he was struggling with and helped him to catch up with the rest of the class. I’ll definitely be using him again when his brother starts high school.
Jack has been absolutely fantastic! His A Level knowledge is outstanding, particularly in mechanics, and he explains even the trickiest concepts in a way that just makes sense. I’ve felt so much more confident since working with him, and my understanding has improved hugely. He’s patient, clear, and really knows how to break things down step by step. I honestly couldn’t recommend him more highly.
Jack has been an absolutely brilliant tutor for my daughter. He has been kind, patient, and he made her feel really comfortable. She was originally predicted to get a grade 6 at GCSE, but thanks to Jack’s help, she managed to get a grade 8 and has even decided to do maths at A-level. Would definitely recommend!
