About Jayme
I’m a qualified secondary school teacher based on the Sunshine Coast with experience teaching students across a range of abilities and learning needs. I have experience teaching Math from Yr 7 to Yr 10 since 2019. I enjoy helping students build confidence in Math and showing them that concepts that initially seem difficult can become much more manageable with the right explanation and support.
As a practicing classroom teacher, I have a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum, assessment requirements and the skills students need to succeed at school. My teaching style is patient, relaxed and encouraging, and I’m happy to adapt the way I explain something until we find an approach that makes sense for the individual student.
Most importantly, I want students to leave tutoring feeling more capable and confident than when they arrived.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they are looking to build confidence, catch up on challenging concepts, improve their grades or extend their learning. I focus on breaking Maths down into clear, manageable steps and helping students understand why something works rather than simply memorising a process.
Lessons can focus on current schoolwork, homework, assignments, exam preparation or areas where a student needs additional support. I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence in their ability.
As a classroom teacher, I understand the Australian Curriculum and the expectations students face at school, allowing tutoring to complement what they are already learning in the classroom.
