About Iris
I am a friendly and approachable tutor who enjoys working with learners of all ages and is dedicated to helping them reach their goals! Over the past 6 years I have taught English in Cambodia, Germany, Egypt and the UK. I am currently working for the Dyslexia and Literacy team with Edinburgh City Council. I understand the importance of building rapport with learners and will do everything I can to make my sessions productive and enjoyable.

My approach is student focused and flexible. I can help you prepare for IELTS or Cambridge exams or support you to develop fluency and conversation skills.
I believe in giving learners a robust understanding of grammar which will benefit them in all area of their language development.
For dyslexia tutoring I followed established strategies to develop phonics as a basis for reading and spelling. I also use multi-sensory techniques to help young learners improve their reading and spelling of common words.
