About Elise
Bonjour! Je m'appelle Elise et je suis une étudiante de français. I just graduated from Western and have participated in two exchanges where I was able to study in an immersed environment. I spent a year living in Nice, France and 5 weeks living in Trois-Pistoles, Québec. I am a Queen's University Bachelor of Education student graduating in 2020 and have just completed a 7 week placement teaching grade 9 academic and applied core french.

I am a 2019 Western graduate with an Honours Specialization in French Studies and a Minor in English for Teachers. I am aware that each student learns in their own individual manner so my lessons will be structured according to the student's needs. I am comfortable reviewing grammar, verb tenses and more for students in either core french or immersion.

Perfect! I very much enjoyed working with Elise, she worked very hard in my first couple of lessons to figure out what type of learner I am (visual, verbal etc) and was excellent at not only identifying my strengths and weaknesses, but making sure I also understood my strengths and weaknesses so that I knew what to work on so that I could turn my weaknesses into strengths. This made the remainder of our lessons easier for both of us and gave me confidence that I would be able to learn French. I would recommend Elise to anyone and wish her luck in her teaching career, although I think she will do just fine!
