About Stacy
I pride myself on professionalism and effective communication. I am passionate about helping students in grades P-5 enhance their literacy skills. With over 20 years of experience, I have expertise in literacy skills and strategies for young students due to my roles as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, early intervention program teacher, reading specialist, and an assistant principal. I have been trained in the Science of Reading, Orton Gillingham, and writing.

I utilize best practices for literacy instruction using a standards-based approach. Each lesson begins with an opening, using an introduction to the standard, a work period of guided practice and application, and a closing where the student shares how the standard was met.
