About Vera
When I first started my degree, it was the input of one of my tutors that taught me how to study and learn efficiently and be confident in my abilities when content became difficult. This experience inspired me to want to return the favour to students like myself, and I love watching that “click” moment when something I say to a student allows them to gain understanding about something they initially found confusing or intimidating. Nothing is too hard when broken down into manageable, bite-size chunks, which definitely describes my approach to tutoring.

Anybody can become the master of a subject when it’s taught and nurtured the right way. My tutoring approach is to find out how you best learn and tailor my teaching to fit that so you can feel confident and succeed. My lessons are typically an hour in length, but can vary by subject. My goal is to help strengthen weaknesses and continue to solidify strengths in the subject so that you have an overall well-rounded understanding of the topics being covered.
