I have done student teaching and substitute teaching. With student teaching, I learned how to stand and teach in front of a whole classroom. I also learned how to manage small group instruction. In this setting, I could see where students were struggling and support them.

My lessons are engaging, and I challenge students and reteach when necessary. I think it’s important to touch on different ways of learning, such as using models or watching a short introduction video. Lessons in elementary grades should be hands on.
