About James
I am passionate about all things creative. I just got my Bachelor of Arts, specializing in cinema and media. In this degree, I not only learnt practical skills in media production, (particularly documentary cinema) but also a more holistic approach to the function of media in contemporary society. This included, but was not limited to, theorising cultural production, news and market imperatives, the deconstruction of identity politics (particularly sexual and gendered subjectivities) and the philosophy of linguistic and pedagogical practices.

For the social sciences, it is necessary to realize the basic essence of all knowledge: we give meaning to the world from culture. We organize ourselves around culture and dominant ideologies. So, for my methodologies, I would like to be able to give my students the ability to actively be able to question and think about the world and how it works. We will discuss a lot together, especially in English, and become more aware of the world around us. We will engage with theories but also just discuss the basics of film, music, politics, philosophy. Learning should be fun, and I hope that our classes will be enjoyable.
