My Teaching Method and Techniques
I tailor my lessons to suit each student's learning style and goals. My approach is interactive and practical, ensuring that students can apply what they learn in real-life conversations. I use a combination of structured lessons, engaging dialogues, cultural insights, and real-world practice to make learning Vietnamese both effective and enjoyable. My methodology includes:
Personalized Curriculum – Adjusted based on students' goals (travel, work, everyday communication, etc.)
Conversation-Based Learning – Emphasizing natural speaking and listening skills from day one
Pronunciation Training – Helping students master Vietnamese tones and accents
Grammar in Context – Teaching grammar through real-world examples instead of dry theory
Cultural Immersion – Integrating Vietnamese traditions, idioms, and customs into lessons
A Typical Lesson Plan
Each lesson is designed to be engaging, structured, and goal-oriented. Here's what a 60-minute lesson might look like:
🟢 Warm-up (5-10 mins): Quick review, pronunciation drills, or a short conversation in Vietnamese
🟡 New Content (20-25 mins): Introduction of vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structures through real-life examples
🟠 Practice & Application (20 mins): Speaking exercises, role-playing scenarios, or interactive dialogues
Wrap-up & Homework (5 mins): Recap of key points, Q&A, and an optional practice task to reinforce learning
I ensure each lesson builds upon the previous one, keeping the learning experience smooth and progressive.
