About PARTH
Biology is a fascinating subject. It attempts to cover the complex chemical reactions to fulfil an organism's needs all the way to how different organisms came to exist in the first place. My aim is to extend this fascination to young bright minds and expose them to the world of scientific research. I myself will be pursuing a PhD in plant developmental biology and plan to establish a career around education. Currently, however, I am a Master's student at IISER Thiruvananthapuram and part of a research project at IISER Pune. In the past, I have spent considerable amounts of time encouraging students to appreciate biology as the Vice president of Proteus, The Biological Society of IISER TVM and a member of the Gold-winning iGEM 2022 team from IISER TVM.

Using real-life examples and analogies is, in my opinion, the best way to understand a subject better. Helping the students visualise the course material would create a disconnect between the monotonous textbooks and help them genuinely appreciate the subject, especially for higher secondary students who have a large syllabus to memorise. I am Proficient in Hindi and English and would take 4-5 hours per week, depending on the course material. Each class would be restricted to any one topic and aim at answering the why, how and what of those biological principles.
