About Diego
Hi, I'm Diego! I'm a Rutgers University Computer Science graduate, and I currently work as a Test Engineer. I also have experience coaching kids in Python and Java.
I enjoy breaking down tricky concepts into simple steps and helping students feel confident with what they're learning. Whether you're just starting out or working through a specific challenge, I'll meet you where you are and make sure each lesson is clear and useful.

Hi, I'm Diego! Here's my approach, kept short and personal:
How I teach: I learn best by doing, and I teach the same way. We write real code together from minute one — no long lectures. When something breaks, we debug it together instead of me just handing over the fix. That's basically my day job as a Test Engineer, so I bring real troubleshooting habits into every lesson.
A typical lesson: Quick recap of last time → I introduce one new idea simply, with an example → you code it yourself while I guide you → a small challenge to try solo → a short task to practice before we meet again.
What makes me different: I've coached kids in Python and Java before, so I know how to keep things fun and clear, not intimidating. I'm also a recent CS grad, so I remember exactly which concepts trip people up early on — and I explain them in plain language, not jargon.
Who I teach: Kids and teens learning to code for the first time, students prepping for AP CS A, college students working through intro programming courses, and adults picking up Python or Java for a career change or personal project. Beginners are always welcome.
