About Claire

About Me

I’m a curious, creative, and dedicated individual who loves learning, exploring new ideas, and helping others develop their skills. With a strong appreciation for creative expression and clear communication, I enjoy helping students discover their confidence as writers while developing their own unique voices.

Outside of academics, I enjoy creative pursuits such as pottery and figure skating, which have taught me the value of patience, persistence, and learning through practice. I bring these same qualities to my teaching approach, creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, experimenting with ideas, and learning from mistakes.

I believe that good writing is about more than grammar and structure; it’s about learning to communicate ideas thoughtfully, express yourself authentically, and develop confidence in your abilities. My goal is to make lessons engaging, personalized, and practical so that every student can grow as a writer and feel proud of their progress.

About the lesson

Science Tutoring

I offer personalized science tutoring designed to help students build a strong understanding of scientific concepts, strengthen their problem-solving skills, and develop confidence in their learning. My approach focuses on making complex topics easier to understand by breaking them down into manageable steps and connecting scientific concepts to real-world examples.

With a strong interest in science and a background in animal health and clinical veterinary care, I enjoy exploring how scientific principles apply beyond the classroom. I aim to make lessons engaging, approachable, and tailored to each student’s learning style, whether they need help understanding challenging material, preparing for tests, reviewing foundational concepts, or developing effective study strategies.

My goal is to foster curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and help students understand not just what they are learning, but why it matters. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and building the skills they need to succeed independently.
