About Sarah

Hello — I’m Tian (Sarah) Zeng, a native Mandarin speaker with six years’ experience running workshops and training, plus three months’ immersive experience as a summer-camp teacher. I specialize in practical, task-based Mandarin tutoring that focuses on clear pronunciation (tones), conversational fluency, and tailored lesson plans combining speaking, reading and character work. Lessons are available in 30/45/60-minute formats; I set clear goals, provide regular feedback and measurable progress checks. I am punctual, professional, and provide prepared materials and follow-up notes to help students build confidence and steady improvement.

About the lesson

• I use a communicative, task-based method: students learn language by doing — speaking, role-play, and real-life tasks (ordering food, booking a ticket, short presentations). • I combine phonics (pinyin + tone work), vocabulary building, and character recognition so learners develop listening, speaking, reading and writing together. • I emphasize pronunciation and tones from the start with short drills and corrective feedback to build confidence. 45–60 minutes for adults; 30–45 minutes for children Suitable for learners who prefer interactive, task-based lessons and want measurable progress.
