About Hadiza
Hi! My name is Hadiza, and I am a sophomore majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Public Health and Financial Technology at the University of Georgia. I got into UGA with a full ride scholarship, the Foundation Fellowship, because of my high academics and community service. In high school, I was 2 years ahead in mathematics courses, took 7+ APs, accumulated over 15 dual enrollment credits, and scored on the 95% percentile in my SAT. I also founded a volunteering organization in my high school called Athens Community Involvement and lead local service projects in partnership with the food bank and other nonprofits. In my free time, I like to cook, watch Senegalese dramas, and hang out with friends.

As an older sibling to a brother and sister, I have assumed multiple roles throughout my life, including that of a guardian, driver, and most notably, a tutor for my younger siblings who often struggled with math. Through these experiences, I have honed my ability to explain concepts effectively to individuals of various backgrounds. I am skilled at assessing their understanding through practice problems and ensuring they grasp the material before assessments.
On this platform, I am eager to share my expertise in teaching math, catering to students from elementary school to 10th grade. My primary approach involves breaking down complex problems into step-by-step plans, which I write on flashcards, enabling students to tackle specific challenges. Additionally, I emphasize the importance of practice by providing ample opportunities to solve similar problems.
With a patient and positive demeanor, I foster an environment of encouragement and perseverance. I firmly believe in supporting students to persist even in the face of difficulty, motivating them to reach their fullest potential.
