About Jon
I am a fourth year Economics student at the University of Glasgow. I am a Spanish national and can teach students to write and speak Spanish at the level they wish. I have previously tutored two students when I was doing my A Levels in Madrid, both of whom demonstrated fantastic results in their examinations (A grades) and I received their parents' and teachers' gratitude.

My approach to teaching is based on gaining an understanding of what the student wants to learn specifically within the broader subject, as well as identifying the main difficulties the student struggles with so that these can be addressed early on.
When teaching a language, such as Spanish, I believe in employing a combination of a Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach with a task-based language learning approach. This results in an interactive peer to peer session with the student, while setting an emphasis on task completion (such as a piece of homework or a short test) to make sure that the student has understood the material covered.
