About Nira
Hola! I’m a Spanish tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Master of Arts in Translation Studies (Spanish-English), with a focus on Healthcare Communication. I specialize in teaching Spanish to nurses, caregivers, social workers, and community helpers who interact with Spanish-speaking patients and families. My lessons focus on practical, real-life scenarios to build confidence in medical and care-related settings. I emphasize patient interaction, emergency vocabulary, and clear, compassionate communication. You’ll learn how to ask questions, give instructions, and respond with empathy in Spanish. I also cover essential medical terminology and phrases commonly used in clinics, hospitals, and care homes. Lessons are tailored to your role, whether you’re at the front desk, providing direct care, or working in social services. Cultural sensitivity is a key part of my teaching, helping you connect respectfully and effectively with diverse communities. My approach is supportive, professional, and easy to follow, even if you’re a complete beginner. Let’s build your confidence and ability to serve others through language. Start learning today—and make a difference by building trust, one word at a time.

My teaching approach to Spanish is immersive, practical, and tailored to each learner’s goals. I focus on building real-world communication skills while strengthening grammar, vocabulary, and cultural understanding. Lessons are engaging, clear, and supportive, helping students stay motivated and confident.
Pronunciation and accent reduction are key parts of my method. I use targeted phonetic drills and repetition exercises to improve clarity and fluency. Listening comprehension is developed through native Spanish audio, including songs, conversations, and podcasts. This helps students understand natural speech patterns and rhythms.
I guide learners in speaking confidently through interactive practice and role-play. Grammar is taught in a simple, structured way so it feels easy to apply. I also adapt lessons to support those who grew up with Spanish but want to deepen their skills or confidence.
For casual learners, I make lessons fun, flexible, and centered around your interests. No matter your background, I’m here to help you grow step by step. With consistent practice and the right support, you’ll speak Spanish with ease and joy.
