I’m a special education teacher who works with students to help them build foundational skills in reading and writing, while also supporting their development of social and executive functioning skills. I tailor my instruction to meet each student’s unique needs, using evidence-based strategies that make learning accessible and meaningful—whether it’s decoding words, writing clearly, or organizing their thoughts.
In addition to academics, I focus heavily on teaching executive functioning skills like organization, planning, time management, and emotional regulation. I incorporate tools like visual schedules, checklists, and planners to help students become more independent and confident in their daily routines. Social skills instruction is also a key part of what I do, often using role-play and structured activities to help students communicate and interact effectively with others.
