About Rachel

Online lessons are great for my students as they get to learn from the comfort of their own home, no time spent travelling either which is great for parents too. If you keep an eye out you are likely to see my gorgeous fluffy black cat who likes to check out what I am doing from time to time in between her sleeps!

My teaching techniques are based on years of experience as a specialist one to one reading teacher (Reading Recovery) at school and since March 2020 from home online. Lessons are fun and intensive, using ebooks, games and whiteboard. Phonics, writing, reading and comprehension. Lessons are designed to the individual’s need, generally 30 minutes or an hour for older students sometimes.
