About Kayla
I graduated from the acclaimed medical school of UCT, with a BSc (Honours, distinction) in Speech Language Pathology. I completed my community service year at Khayelitsha District Hospital, and am currently working in a private rehabilitation hospital working with the adult neurological population. I am hoping to pursue my Masters (MSc) in 2023.
I am qualified in and have experience with Swallowing, Language, Cognitive-Communication, Voice and Motor Speech Disorders. I am also experienced in education and counselling, and therapeutic and risk feeding practices. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work with pediatric special populations (CP, ASD, Down Syndrome).
