About Ethan
When you study singing with me, you join a nurturing and individualized space dedicated to cultivating your vocal skills and artistic identity. Lessons are designed to support your goals, whether strengthening fundamental techniques, increasing vocal agility, or preparing for performances and auditions. You’re encouraged to bring repertoire that inspires and challenges you, ensuring lessons remain engaging and personally meaningful. Our sessions blend technical exercises—breath management, pitch control, tone production—with creative approaches such as vocal improvisation, storytelling, and visualization to deepen your expressive connection to music. I remain attentive to your energy and emotional state, adapting lessons to include calming breathwork or dynamic vocal drills as appropriate. My aim is to create a warm, judgment-free environment where you feel confident exploring your voice and artistry. Together, we develop a personalized, manageable practice plan that fits your lifestyle and supports consistent progress and motivation. I also provide coaching in harmony singing, songwriting, and stage presence to help you develop as a versatile and confident artist. Whether singing is a joyful hobby or professional pursuit, I am here to support your journey with patience and encouragement.

Singing is a multifaceted art that intertwines vocal technique, emotional communication, and cultural narrative. My teaching philosophy rests on the principles of Foundation, Expression, Diversity, and Perseverance.
Foundation includes building solid breath support, pitch accuracy, tone quality, and vocal flexibility through targeted exercises designed to promote vocal health and stamina. Expression is nurtured by encouraging students to delve into the emotional and lyrical content of songs, using interpretive techniques to create authentic performances that resonate with listeners. Diversity enriches lessons by embracing a wide range of musical genres and cultural traditions, promoting respect and curiosity for the stories behind the music.
I work with students to select repertoire that reflects their backgrounds and artistic goals. Perseverance is essential for growth; I help learners develop consistent practice habits and realistic goals, emphasizing patience and resilience. Through thoughtful feedback and encouragement, I create a supportive environment where singers can develop technically, artistically, and culturally, gaining the confidence to share their voices with the world.
