About Alexa
I am currently studying for a postgraduate diploma in accounting at Massey University. My mother tongues are Mandarin and Taiwanese (Minnan/Hokkien); I was born in Guangdong and lived there for five years, which gave me early exposure to Cantonese in daily life. I can also understand a great deal of spoken Korean, thanks to my passion for language learning.
I truly enjoy exploring new languages and cultures, and I believe that learning a language is also about sharing perspectives and building connections. I hope to share my language skills, experiences, and enthusiasm with you in a way that is encouraging, clear, and tailored to your goals.

Whether you are preparing for the HSK Chinese Proficiency Test, want to improve your daily conversation skills, or wish to strengthen your reading, writing, or tonal accuracy—I provide personalized instruction to suit your level.
I am a native Chinese speaker, fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Taiwanese, and I hold a Grade A Level 2 certificate in Mandarin pronunciation. I’m currently studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting at Massey University, and I love helping others achieve their learning goals.
I focus on what you need—speaking, listening, writing, tones, grammar, or vocabulary—in a fun, patient, and effective way. Lessons are available online or in person in Auckland. I create a friendly, relaxed environment where you’ll feel confident to ask questions and improve naturally.
