About Finlay
I am a student at the University of Nottingham and am studying PPE. I attended Queens’ School Bushey where I took A-Levels in Maths, Economics and English Literature. I achieved the grades A*AA. I also have an average GCSE points score of 8.375. I have previously done tutoring for year 11 students within my school during my 6th form years where I received very positive feedback. Both my parents are also secondary school teachers; with my father teaching mathematics and my mother teaching economics so I have easy access to high level resources to further my pupil’s progress!

I approach each subject initially by prioritising which topics my pupil lacks the most confidence in, and using a vast array of professional resources I work hard to ensure my pupil feels soundly confident in their abilities.
I strive to do this by not only ensuring my pupil has a fool-proof mathematical method, but also ensuring they understand WHY that method works. Thus, when my pupil approaches a maths problem out of context they will have no need to panic!
