About Maximillian
Since leaving high school I have always wanted to be a teacher, particularly after volunteering as a teaching assistant in History and Art lessons at my sixth form college. I have always wanted to teach History as it is a subject I have always felt passionate about, and one which I feel is essential in critically understanding other subjects too - including English and Sociology. I achieved A* in GCSE and A in A Level History, and as a recent A Level student myself I believe my experience and understanding is relevant in being able to relate to, and help students currently studying for these qualifications.

My teaching methods are informal. I like to encourage discussion when in groups and critical thinking in 1:1 sessions to ensure students develop an in depth understanding of topics. I prefer for students to come to their own sustained judgements, as I see this as an essential quality in thinking like a historian, meaning I often encourage reading around subjects as well as going over indicative content repeatedly.
