About Ilona

I am a Chemical Engineering student at the National University of Colombia.
I lived in Italy for three years during my childhood and I graduated 1 year ago from the Alessandro Volta Gymnasium, an Italian school located in Bogotá.

My Italian diploma certifies a native level of the language, and I also obtained excellent grades in this area during my last years of school. During the last few years I have been tutoring in Italian writing; I can support both at an academic level with studies in Italian literature and at the level of language development in any field.

About the lesson

Although it all depends on the level of knowledge and what the student is looking for, I try to concentrate on incorporating the language into day-to-day situations and taking it to a more everyday plane.
I focus a lot on the particular interests of my students and from this I try to generate vocabulary, so that later I can use it in conversations. I also intend to create good grammatical bases to acquire fluency and security when speaking the language.

I like interactive activities in which the student concentrates on speaking or exploiting his creativity with the language itself. I also like to approach the latter through cultural bases to generate a broader panorama.

In addition, I try to leave activities for the student to carry out independently and - if necessary - I can help with the correction of texts or in the preparation of any school assignment in that language.

Ilona ha sido siempre una estudiante sobresaliente, le es fácil entender las cosas y de la misma manera le es fácil explicarlas para alguien que no entiende. Al vivir la experiencia como compañera de clase de ella, tuve muchas dificultades sobretodo con filosofía y química, y ella me las hacía entender muy bien. Va a ser una profe especial, que entiende al alumno y lo hace comprender con facilidad.
