Hi everyone! I’m your English tutor. Let me start with my “career switch” story—I used to work at one of China’s Big Four banks, but I couldn’t resist my passion for education, so I switched paths. Next February, I’ll head to University of Melbourne (Australia) to study secondary education; basically, I’m just following what I love. When it comes to language skills, I’m a native Chinese speaker first—scored 120 in Gaokao Chinese, even memorized an entire Chinese dictionary out of boredom in high school, and joined a Chinese character dictation contest for fun. Now, chatting about idioms or culture with you? Total piece of cake. I haven’t slacked on English either: full marks in PTE Speaking & Listening(84 overall), IELTS 7 Daily communication or in-class explanations? No worries about language barriers here. Academically, I majored in Finance for my undergrad, have an Economics degree, and passed CFA Level 1. If you’re tired of class and want to switch gears, I can talk stocks, funds—you name it. For English teaching, whether it’s academic writing or daily conversations, I’ll tie everything to real-life scenarios. No “mute English” on my watch. Off-class, I’m a total “sports + trend fan”—I can bench press 110kg, love basketball and tennis. If you follow the Lakers, we can geek out over LeBron’s new season. I’m into rap too—Kanye, Drake, Young Thug, I listen to ‘em all. Want to chat hobbies before class? I’m always down. I don’t think teaching needs to be stiff.
