About Jourdan
I am a Substitute Teacher working in Kailua, HI who loves to help students reach their goals and better understand their content. I have over 3 years experience working with students who have both academic and behavioral struggles.
I personally love close reading literature, helping write essays, and general psychology and would love to assist anyone of any age in those areas.

When it comes to working with students who have special needs, I mostly try trial and error. I work with them one on one and try explaining the content in a few different ways until they are confident they understand and can do the work on their own.
With essay writing I prefer not to focus on grammar - although I will do line editing before the final draft - but instead focus on the argument and structure of the essay.
