About Karon
I have been teaching since 1980 and have taught in all sorts of schools in the UK and abroad; I've also worked in some of the UK's major universities supporting the learning of physics students. I have taught thousands of students, many of whom went on to successful careers in science, medicine and education.

I'm a well qualified, experienced teacher of physics. I have a physics degree from Oxford, a postgraduate teaching qualification and many, many years of teaching experience. In addition, I have carried out academic research into how people learn. I know how to help you learn difficult things and achieve success.
I use structured discussion and carefully designed multiple choice questions to explore your understanding of the physics, maths or stats concepts to be learned. Then I identify the steps that will take your learning forward to your desired goals, keeping the focus firmly on the way you will eventually be examined.
And I promise not to scare you.
I can support you as you work towards Scottish, UK and IB qualifications from S3 (UK Year 9, US Grade 9) to the first year of a Scottish physics degree.
