About Daniel
Lessons are tailored to meet the needs, technique, and curiosity of the student. Each student will receive a personalized Google Doc that contains lesson exercises, color-coded progress tables, and notes. Each lesson will also be screen recorded and archived for private review, which I believe to be an invaluable resource that is not always given in lessons traditionally. I strive to provide a balanced approach to practice that is fun and effective. No books are needed for purchase.

I am a seasoned trumpet teacher with over 18 years of experience of teaching private lessons to students of all age ranges. I am a classically trained with two degrees in music, both with an emphasis in jazz studies. I have had the privilege of touring over ten countries playing jazz festivals and large arenas with well-known artists such as: Shakira, The O'Jays, Shadmehr Aghili, A.R. Rahman, Father John Misty, and Doc Severinsen, to name a few. I am a top-call trumpet player in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
As a teacher I maintain a trumpet studio of over 30 students in Texas and online, and I have held several positions as adjunct professor for the world-renowned University of North Texas college of music, and Collin College. I am a father of two looking to teach more online so that I can be home more, but still offer my services and wealth of knowledge to to eager trumpet students.

Perfect! Daniel is knowledgeable and respectful, and he made the lesson enjoyable for my 15 year old son. His low stress, high learning approach works wonderfully. We are excited to keep working with him and feel very lucky to have found such a great instructor!
- Max had a great first lesson and came in with concrete goals and questions about specific aspects of the trumpet. As a teacher, this helps me a lot! There was a noticeable difference in playing quality by the end of the lesson.Daniel's response :

Perfect! I have been playing trumpet for a long time but had some specific skills I wanted to work on for an upcoming piece I need to play. I found Daniel through Superprof and set up a lesson. He was able to get me scheduled within a few days and the lesson went smoothly. He gave me some exercises to do which have already helped. I've never taken structured lessons so I'm looking forward to continuing our lessons and strengthening my level of playing. I highly recommend Daniel!
