About Kyana
I have a good subject knowledge and a keen interest in mathematics and the sciences. I hope to translate my passion for these subjects onto the students and reinforce the importance of understanding the foundations so application becomes a lot easier. I'm a great tutor for anyone curious to learn more about studying Maths for A-levels and helpful advice and guidance on how to get a passing grade for sixth form and college.

My first lesson is a diagnostic lesson aimed at understanding the pupils' strengths and weaknesses. From there, a timetable of topics to be addressed in the coming weeks will be aimed at addressing these issues along with added requests from the pupil and any teachers' notes provided would greatly help. My lessons consist of one-hour sessions that are broken into: - a 5-minute catch-up of last week's work - 10 minutes of introducing a new topic - 35 minutes of applying the knowledge into practice questions - 10 minutes of extension work followed up by an interactive game and/or short quiz assigned to the student. Progress of the student will be monitored by bi-weekly assessments and going over tests or questions the pupil found difficult in his/her school. My lessons are for ages 14-16 and 10-11. And having studied Maths in GCSE and A-level I have a passion for numbers and problem-solving. I also teach children Maths in my part-time volunteering job.
