About Bhagya
I'm a junior in high school and I started my journey in dancing when I was a kid with ballet. Ballet lasted with me for about a year and I moved to India for elementary and that's when I started my journey in Bharatanatyam. I started when I was in second grade and I proceeded to continue taking classes from the same teacher throughout COVID and even when I moved back to the US for middle school. During the stressful deadlines and assignments of junior year, I take the time to practice my dance as a break and I hope I can help you see dance as a way of relaxation, not a stress factor like I did for a while when I was a kid. Even though I have not taken professional classes for semiclassical, Bharatanatyam has helped me so much in choreographing my dances to semiclassical songs as well as a few Bollywood which I would also love to assist you with.

My lessons are for beginners starting Bharatanatyam and a typical lesson plan would start off by explaining the importance of the step I will be teaching to the art form and then proceeding to teach the step which I will only move on from if I really do feel like the student has understood the concept. I do want to mention I am very dedicated to this art form in every possible way and I aspire to professionally teach in the future and I hope you consider me as your or your child's tutor.
