About Maria
With over 10 years of experience, I hold a Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Education and am certified to teach K-8th grade all subjects. In addition, I earned a Bilingual Bicultural English Spanish Teaching certificate. I've taught Spanish to students in both Elementary and Middle schools. I have a passion for teaching. I create lessons with clear objectives and a sense of purpose. I work tirelessly to inspire my students to perform to a high level. I set the bar high while simultaneously establishing a safe, caring environment where project-based, collaborative learning is paramount. This motivates my students to keep trying until they’ve reached the expectations that I've set for them. Last, my classroom is an ever-growing and changing student-centered organism. While I know my craft, I'm constantly curious and strive to do my best for both myself and my students.

I love making learning fun and engaging. Kids look forward to and enjoy coming into my classroom every week!! Kids play fun learning games, create fun learning projects, all while learning and having fun! I also offer yummy treats as well.
