About Alison
I have been teaching for the past eleven years and have experience working with AEN students too. My teaching style is informal and I really love getting to know my students to make the content as relatable as possible for them. I have been working with the subject of Politics and Society since its inception and currently work with the SEC in examining it. I am also the co author of the very popular Leaving Certificate textbook Politics and Society Now!

I work with all levels and abilities of students at second level to enable them to best reach their potential. Lessons are exam-focused with tailor-made notes for each student. I caan help students looking to maximize their top grade, or if a student wants to take Politics or History as an additional subject for their leaving cert outside of school. As a current SEC examiner in both subjects, I know how to focus students to go for the top grade. Open to small group lessons if a group of friends wanted to work together.

Group grinds are a solid option that lend themselves very well to the subject of Politics and Society. If you happen to have some friends in school and the subject is not offered to you - a small online or in person group can be arranged. Please reach out for details. A group discount will be offered. Project work for the Leaving Cert can be completed and signed off by me as well.
